People talk a lot about what are the Best pads for their car but I never hear anyone talk about the hardware.
I'm going to replace the hardware on my 08 Z51 front and rear brakes. Is there a "best" for the hardware? I was looking online at the typical stores advance, autozone , orielly's and none of them have these clips in stock so if I need to order them I want to order the best I can. I see some are just steel and others are rubber coated. What do you guy's use, think , have an opinion on?

I'm not doing pads I just want to replace the clips to try and reduce the noise.
Rather than just changing the hardware pieces (which are not expensive), apply a thin coat of hi-heat grease to the wear points & the backside of the pads. Be careful not to get any on the face side of the pads or the rotors. The grease will dampen high frequency vibration which is often the cause of brake squeal.
