I've seen yes and no mentioned here over the years. I don't know but the person in this video mentions that he has to go to the dealer for programming after changing the EBCM.

I believe that only new modules need to be programmed with the software.
Do you have a Tech2 or J2534 passthru device where you can read the software version/calibration of the EBCM? You could then compare that with the most current/correct version from GM TIS.
Yep, since the ECBM is the module that is controlling AH and ABS, just need to make sure that it programmed correctly and on the most recent firmware for the car model it's installed in.
So the Ecm and BCM will see if fine, but God only know what firmware/version/car it's flashed to begin with.
