Going through a flooded vette
I recently picked up a flood damaged 08 Z51 coupe (manual) with the intent of making it a road race car. It was reported as non-running, but after inspecting the exterior a bit, we swapped the starter and it fired right up. We've only started it twice for seconds at a time... It should be noted that we're certain the car was previously drag raced, potentially sprayed with methanol... Oh boy this gun b gud...

Does anyone have any experience 'restoring' or working on a water damaged drivetrain? How should I go about inspecting and ascertaining the condition of the motor/trans before taking the car out to shake it down?
I already have a gameplan but I thought I'd consult the counsel for their input - see if there's anything I'm missing. As of now, the interior has been completely removed, minus the dash. The driver-side carpet was soaked, but other than that there seems to be little-to-no obvious water damage.
As of now the plan is to pull the plugs and check for water, flush/replace the oil, do a compression test. Flush/replace trans and rearend fluid, check pans for water. Inspect/replace fuel filter. Pull calipers and inspect lines for water - flush the system... what am I missing?

Only a strainer in the left fuel tank at the fuel pump..
Missing? .....power steering fluid, but I think you have everything else covered.

It all the electrical modules and connectors that you have to pull and try to get them clean with electrical contact cleaner, the real PITA instead.
And even with the modules cleaned, don't be surprised that shortly down the road you are changing the modules out with new units when the old ones start to have problems/glitches isntead.
