I have a 2005 C6. After washing the car, I am experiencing what seems to be an issue with the traction control system. Normal driving is o.k. but when I try to "get on it" the engine drops all power until I return to a lower speed.
One day in the rain the car was acting very erratically. Eventually it stopped and threw a display code that said service active handling system.
Once dry, the car performs normally at all speeds.
Pull the codes via the ODBI II port with a scanner when you are having the problems, and chances are it's going to point you back to one of the wheel speed sensors having a problem. Hence its connector needed to be disconnected, spray electrical cleaned, and them plugged back in to solve the problem.
If you are power washing under the hood to clean the engine (don't), then there are a ton of connectors under that hood that can get water forced into them, and cause the same problems as well.

Thanks Dano and thanks for the great pic's. This is what I was kind of suspecting but wasn't sure.
