Help....

I have searched this forum and thought it was an easy request to put my 2012 GS cent vert back to its original NPP axle back mufflers. I understand I need 2009+ in order to fit. I have found a NPP set from a 2010 GS, however the GM part numbers are different than from my 2012 GS. I just want to be sure these will fit before I lay out the time and cash.

So, hopefully there is an expert out there that will not flame me, and have the patience to confirm, or do I need to ask more questions....standard or auto transmission, etc.

Thx
Howard

The difference between 2012 and 2009 - 2011 is that the 2012's were the first to have the 2nd set of Cats as part of the x-pipe.

The x-pipes are the same overall length. If you're staying with the x-pipe currently on the car and it isn't the original 2012 with the extra Cats, one would hope that if it's not an earlier year OEM, it is at least an aftermarket with the same dimensions.

So, other than the x-pipe question, yes, the 2010 set will bolt right up.

Several here have converted their 2012+ cars to earlier year x-pipes to get rid of the extra Cats. Here's just one example but the pics are gone:

Your reply is from someone with knowledge and experience that I greatly appreciate. I would have had a very hard time chasing down the model year suttle changes. I feel much more confident with the information.

Thank you!!
