Okay so I need help I recently got stuck at a gas station because my shifter broke off of the shift cable due to the bushing popping took off my center console and shifter found the problem I had to manually shift home when I got home even though I manually shifted it in park it was still reading shift to park at this time it was 7am so I had work at 10am so I went to sleep well the battery died and I went to autozone got a bushing reconnected my shifter to my shift cable and charged my battery it's still saying shift to park my shifter is stuck in N-D won't go to R or P and my car won't crank either I'm confused and need help?
Looks like I can't send you a P.M. maybe because you are new. It sounds like you do not have the cable lined up correctly to match the gear position on the tranny end.
I can help you, since mine broke at a gas station too, about 6 weeks ago. Sending you a P.M.
Okay so on my shifter it's stuck in N and D won't go in P or R so it's manually in par from me pushing the shift cable all the way back so if I pull it in neutral manually because that's what my shifter is in the car will start? But regardless idk if my shifter broke or not or is it a locking mechanism

Car should start in neutral, although I never tried that in my c6. You should be able to row through all the gear positions, if not, check the long black collar on the shift cable located under the center console to see if it broke.

How do I know if the thing is broke though like the cable is not straight it's kinda bent up!! But doesn't look broke

As Rich notes, the cable shouldn't look bent up. I guessing you didn't have the rear tranny housing gear position in the same gear position as the console shifter position when you reseated the shifter module to the console tunnel. It resulted in the cable getting mangled underneath as the cable slack couldn't retract back toward the rear.
