Default TKO Z06 style front bumper on standard coupe

Hi all, I have a 2010 C6 Corvette standard coupe and I got this thing that's on the subject line and had my local body shop replace my stock one and this took a lot more hours of body work on the new bumper than one would expect, but in the end it turned out just fine.
What I wanted to ask is, would it be acceptable to further open up the air flow from the inside of the assembly to get more air into the air box?
I should probably also mention I have the Halltech Killer Bee I think it's called with the "bee hive."
By the way, I did try searching for an answer without just starting a new thread, but it hurt my head, so I'm sorry for further crowding this forum with threads, but it is what it is...

Thanks,
StreetShark

The tiny opening in the stock setup was designed for cooling, not breathing air, and at the same time minimize the likelihood of water ingestion.

This thread is probably more than you wanted to know but:

Thanks, Rick, that's good to know, I'll take the cooling for sure!
