Default Help, can you identify this connector
Took my console out to change my shift boots. Found this connector taped up. I was wondering what its for and any ideas why it would be taped up. 2008 convertible.....

manual car or auto? I don't recall that connector on my manual 08 z but the right side of it looks like it has the factory loom.

the clip is probably broken so the last guy taped it so it wouldn't come undone

By the looks of it its for the auto shifter. Probably unplugged at one point to replace maybe the cable or something.
