Throwing the above code - p0340. Car does start and runs, just runs a little wonky. It drove fine the day before, but upon starting - code was present. Was going to get in their tonight to check things out.
I was going to buy the camshaft position sensor harness which I believe is part number 1260-4393
What I am trying to find is the part number for the camshaft position sensor itself.
Anyone got any hints, or ideas on tracking this issue down, and resolving it?
They can be a pain to get out--sometimes the end of them swells from being in oil for so long. Sometimes they come right out. Hopefully you get an easy one.
start by checking the connectors on both sides of the harness extension. then take the old sensor out and check it good. if it has any marks on it, the timing gear is getting ready to fail and DO NOT DRIVE IT anymore. take it apart and fix it.
