has anyone split the case on a BCM
I want to see whats going on inside a BCM on my C6
I wondered if anyone has ever managed to split one open, I have prised the clips open and removed all of the fuses and relays but despite some pressure on several screw drivers I cannot get it to split, I can just see the electronics inside but I want to thoroughly clean all the contacts and components
Any ideas would be awesome, thank you

I have to ask .... why would you want to open a a perfectly good sealed unit if it is working fine ?
There are BCM'S that operate for years and years and have never been cleaned

I didnt say it was a perfectly working unit, the reason I want to open it up is that it is NOT working
I am an electronics specialist and want to trace the damage to it and 2 others I have
I have new replacements on order and use a Tech II to program them and I usually mess with C5s but I have several C6s right now that need attention

Corrosion, which will cause a short, done it so many times before with sucess as long as the car has not been powered up
Despite having new BCMs ordered that I can program I still want to have a go at repairing these, its my personal challenge

Share pictures if you don't mind. Just curious what it looks like. My bet is a board with stuff on it and plugs.

Thank you for responding, no I am working on the BCM modules in the passenger footwell and then after that the Bose power amp modules
I will have time this weekend to hopefully mess with one of them, I have replacements on the way just my Tech II tool the Candi interface has quit on me so waiting on a replacement.
My biggest enemy is lack of time
