It also depends on the transmission. Both our 2006 and 2009 were/are Z51 cars with the A6 transmission. Both had a tranny cooler in the radiator, neither had any kind of oil cooler.

Thanks to all for information that helps in figuring out exactly what I need. I will raise the car and confirm that it is the radiator leaking. I am fairly certain that is problem, as I was able to see coolant collecting around the bottom driver's side corner of the radiator. It goes about 1/2 hour before the tank is emptied and temps start to rise above 220. I will carry enough water to get it the 43 miles home where I can fix it.

Since I only plan to keep the car for about another year, the DeWitt's radiator, while a nice product, is not cost effective. Car's stock cooling system has always performed well, even in 110F desert temps. I will replace the water pump while the radiator is out and access is easier.

Confused on getting radiator. On Amazon, which seems to have the lowest prices, I found a radiator with ACDelco part number 21558 and says it is same as OEM part number 15145946. On Cultrag Performance website parts catalog, 15145946 appears to be the correct part number for 2008 base coupe, Z51, manual transmission, without oil cooler in radiator. However, the compatibility check on Amazon says that the 15145946 radiator does not fit my car. I have sent a message to the seller asking for clarification. There are three radiators for the C6 and I know mine is not the one with oil cooler in radiator. I want to order the radiator from Amazon, but want to be sure I am getting the right one. Any suggestions?

Finished radiator and water pump replacement last Saturday. It was simply a pita doing it myself. Could have used a second set of hands getting old out and new in. Was able to remove the radiator without having to disconnect the a/c lines from compressor by breaking off the radiator tabs. However, there was no way it was going back together without disconnecting the lower line. I could not raise the condenser high enough to slide into the radiator tabs on the passenger side. It would flex the line enough to cause it to start leaking refridgerant. Finally disconnected the a/c lines and it went together easily.

Glad that is done. Now just need to recharge the a/c system.

Fellow members. I need a bit of guidance. I’m replacing the radiator on my 2006 C6 which has the oil cooler and trans cooler lines attached to the radiator. My problem is that I can’t get the radiator out. It looks like the radiator is attached to the condenser at the bottom where the hard aluminum lines and the condenser connect. Am I wrong about the condenser line being attached to the radiator or is it the clips that are still holding the unit in place. I can lift the driver side of the radiator out but the passenger side does not want to give way. I’m assuming that once I get these clips unattached the radiator should slide right out. Please help!

The lower pass side is a nightmare. You might have to cut away some of the mount to get it off. And maybe carefully bend some of the condenser tubes.

Look for for a Dewitt’s for a replacement - great quality and better performance and great guys

Check this tread, should answer your question.
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...radiators.html
and then go to this website https://www.dewitts.com/ and get in touch with them tell them what you have they'll tell you what you need. Dewitts make the BEST radiators in the world with great service IMO, i have one in my 07. I know I know its "expensive" or more than 200 bucks shipped, but you'll never regret buying quality
