Default WCCH heads

I'm looking at a local C6 Z06 with WCCH stage 2 heads with cam specs .678 int/.680 exh with .239/.241 duration@114 degrees, with 15K miles on this set up. When or if should the valve train be inspected? Assuming it is running well with this mileage do you leave it or check it?
Thanks

With those specs, id have them checked immediately. There was a forum member that had out of spec WCCH heads running a high lift cam

Have a shop verify that the pushrod length is good-to-go.....and then swap out the springs for a dual spring set-up that's good to .700" lift.....like what's linked below:

Now.

Past spring inspection with that specs. Generally mild cam springs get inspected/changed every 20k

My WCCH heads had 6k miles on them when I checked them out. Dual springs were 20lbs weak and guides were worn well beyond spec with less lift. .653"/.652"

wonderful, guess Katech was right about the guide material and the coating on the valves. Are your cam specs higher than any of Katech's cams? Why do you think your springs were weak?

I think the Katech K501 and the torquer cam on the exhaust side have lifts in the 650 area. The duration on the K501 is like 239 / 251 and the torque is like 220 / 244. Now the Katechs run less spring pressure with a single beehive I think. What was the spring pressure on the User Omega springs?

I think also Mr. Rocker arm is not happy once you get past 660 lift.

The cam was fairly mild. 231/246 653/652 115 +3

I cannot speak to why exactly springs loose pressure. That is probably a question better suited for someone who really knows their metallurgy.

I did not make those measurements. AHP checked them out while the heads were getting redone.

Lets just hope this moldstar90 guide material lives up to its name. In another 6-10k miles I will perform an on-car wiggle test to see if I feel like the heads need to come off for further inspect. I should have the car back together by the end of the month. Heads will be here tomorrow.

You will be more than pleased with our Moldstar90 valve guides!!! We have seen noting but very positive long term results from our Moldstar90 valve guides!

Our Moldstar90 is the same material used in many F1 and Indy car heads.

Just checked the tacking for you and it looks like the heads are currently in Illinois and have an expected delivery date of 12/27.

Let us know if you need anything and thank you for your business!

Ya that cam is super aggressive for a street setup. I would put a more streetable cam in her. Like everyone else said, anything about .600 lift is too aggressive for the valvetrain.
