Default Installing Tie Rod End

I replaced my harmonic balancer and am not reinstalling my tie rod ends. On my previous vehicles, you just torqued the castle nut on top, and installed the pin. If the bolt spins, it's a bad TRE.

On my C6, both sides spin so I can't torque the nut down on the top. There is a Allen hole in the top that lets me hold it in place while I tighten it with a crescent wrench, but with a crescent wrench, I can't tell when it's tight enough.

Seems backwards, but I could hold the nut with the crescent wrench and then torque the Allen wrench to spec.

Am I missing something?
Thanks

Yes, it seems proper to use a crows foot on a torque wrench while holding the allen.

Good luck.
