LS3 has 4065 bore. but considering the clearence that valves has from the wall they MAY fit BUT IMHO the risk is not worth it.

C6 ZR1 heads will fit, since the LS3 was the starting point for the LS9

ls9 heads are designed for forced induction so i dont think there will be much gains if hes going to use it NA and correct me if Im wrong but I remember reading something like that ls9 has larger head bolts than rest of the ls blocks

Yes....you can mount the LS7 heads on a LS3 engine,

Yes, the valves will barely clear the cylinder bores.

But......what I was cautioned against, was that the valves would be so shrouded by the cylinder walls that there would be little (if any) to be gained by the swap.

So.....if you do the swap, I would be interested at your results do it.....do it.....do it......

I believe MAST makes a small bore LS7 head for the LS3 if I am not mistaken.

Yes the LS7 head will bolt onto the block, but I didn't think the valve would clear on it, but I haven't tried it. Even if it did, like the others have said it is going to be blocked on that side against the cylinder wall I don't know how well it is going to flow.

And Texas Speed, as well.

And as long as you're shelling out almost $3K for a set of heads, you might as well call/email Tony Mamo and have him send you one of his ported LS7 MSD intakes....
