Code reader and cleaner integrated in DIC on C6's
Is the a code reader integrated into the DIC on a C6 as I see in other threads that C6 owners are using OBDII readers.
On the C5, when a "Check Engine" light appears, it is possible to find out what is causing the light to appear by going to the DIC and finding what code has appeared. Going online provides the information to determine what the code means.
The code can be cleared through the DIC and the "Check Engine" light disappears.
This is convenient as there is no need for a trip to the repair shop/dealer or to buy and use a plug-in OBD.
Does the C6 DIC have the same capability as the C5 with respect to dealing with the "Check Engine" light?

It was a nice thing to have on my C5Z. But I grabbed a OBDII scanner for cheap when I bought my C6Z. You can find them from cheap to expensive on Amazon...~$12 - $200+. I think there's some in the $20 range that you plug into the port and will sync via Bluetooth to your phone.

There are. Just got a Veepeak Bluetooth model off Amazon. Cost $12. Paid $9 for Dashcommand for my Android phone and the info there is incredible! All your codes, explanations, gauges, fuel, temps, pressures, etc etc etc. Check it out.
