Brakes
Hawk vs carbotech
1 piece vs multi
ceramic vs carbon ferro-compound
It seems like with a two piece rotor you save on weight. Are there any down sides to a two piece rotor?
I drive my Z06 hard and race when the opportunity is there. I don't want the extra brake dust some of the performance pads have.
If you track the hard, you will want to get rid of those calipers because they are junk and get Stop Tech, Brembo or something much better than the 6 puck Z06 calipers from Australia.

2pc hats and rotors, while lighter to the tune of 3-4lbs each, won't make better braking. The size and thus the torque remain the same. You can however get improved cooling from proper design and perhaps longer life vs the 1pc oe style. Don't let anyone kid you tho that they are more cost effective as you'll only replace "the ring"....given any 2pc will run you as much as 6X the $ amount (each, not including hardware) you better get that much or more life from it.
*Moving to a larger brake system (kit) with bigger rotors can push that into the good zone as larger rotors simply mean less wear and tear or a lower duty cycle vs the old size part.
The carbon rotor thing is great if you have money to burn. Or your car is a dedicated race car used for hours of extreme use. On the other hand...a good BBK will cost less and leave you hundreds if not a few thousand dollars to spend on seat time.
