Default Lowering ride height

Do you need to do an alignment after lowering the ride height on a c6

It's a good idea to. Mine drove fine before the alighnment, but it was off a little. I'm going to get mine done with the pfadt street specs next time.

I've read lots of posts about adjusting the height (I need to adjust mine as it is sitting a little off at the front corners) but I haven't seen anything say which way to spin the bolt.

I assume it's CW (righty tighty) for lowering and CCW (lefty loosey) for raising?

Looking at the bolt from the top, turn it counter clockwise to lower the ride height. Ccw raises the bolt which drops the ride.

Mine was lowered when I got it and I raised it back up to stock ride height. I had it aligned after it was allowed to settle for awhile. Not sure how much it changes but everyone says to drive it awhile before you get the alignment. Then go with the PFADT street settings.

yes, do an alignment. Just make sure its just what you want before you line it up. If you readjust you'll be aligning again.

Try to keep the same rake if you think you'll ever track the car. The rake adds downforce. Or maybe I should say it fights rear lift.

At $1,800 for a set of Michelin Super Sports, an alignment is a cheap investment.

Define need? Will the car move and get you from point A to B, yes. Is it optimal, nope.

A few weeks ago we raised the height on front by approx. 1 inch on 2011 GS. As noted turn clockwise to raise and count the amount of threads on each side to match up. Note: you need to use a bottle jack/block of wood under the front spring ends to take off the pressure on bolt. Spray some WD40 before you start turning.

As noted above. I just had my alignment adjusted to PFADT street spec and had my tires road forced balanced.

Note: The tech put on thread goop on each stud and used a torque wrench set to 100 lbs. Good sign that these guys know what they are doing.

Why is that? I assume you mean never seize. In any case, never seize or greasing threads means your lug nuts are now over torqued.

I knew when I posted the reply that GOOP would get some retort!

Anyone aware of how much each turn equates to as far as height?
I have in my notes from different threads on here...
3 turns = 3/4"
1 turn = 1/8"
These are close but not quite equal to each other.

^ I am curious on this also. it doesnt seem proportional to how much thread is showing. you could screw the bolt in 1/2" and the car will drop like 1" lol. not sure how to figure out the ratio.
