Catch can passing Ca. smog
I understand that changes with the emission system is illegal.
Is there a way to install a catch can and not be easily detected?
I know the presence of the can will be a giveaway and further inspection would uncover the new lines most likely.
Thinking of the Elite one with oil separator.
Anyone with experience with this?

No one has a idea about this.
I have seen guys tuck the can up front down low next to the air filter opening.
Other than this all have been close to the engine, top side.

Could mount it in fender or somewhere out of site.
Do a MM can, not elite.
Or swap back stock before emissions, it takes <10 minutes to swap or remove the can. Doing that once a year isn't exactly hard.

Well here in California it would be every 2 years, better yet.
What is MM can, link?

So this MM can vents into the air. With the Elite there is no venting. Will the engine bay get oily from the MM venting?
Not up to speed with catch cans at all, even though I have looked into them a few times over the years.

It does not vent unless needed. The filter on top of the MM can has a one way check valve, and only vents if pressure builds up in the crank case. A much much much much better design than others.
Think of it as a safety valve. Its a sealed can until you exceed the flow capacity of the crank case system, then it vents excess pressure out through a safety valve.

I have done mounts behind the battery as well as under the radiator support:
My standard offer with the filter is the highest flowing and safest for crankcase pressure control, but I can do a filter top, a fitting top, or a completely closed top.
Visual inspection it would fail as any altering of emissions control equipment would, but functionally it should improve because we are no longer burning oil

I am looking for the easiest set up in returning to stock, every 2 years.
Stock car now basically just a tune power wise.
Doesn't need to be hidden after all.

Sounds great and this will keep oil from being injected in through the intake?
I will be ordering from you online. I have a overseas trip coming up first.
Thanks MM, David.

that is correct. my mild systems focus on pcv oil control and my wild systems take it a step further with aggressive crankcase pressure control as well
