Hello everyone I'm new to the Corvette world but not quite to the ls world having helped build my brothers 700hp ls2 gto. Anyway, I picked up a heavily moded c6 3 days ago and it had given me ZERO issues. After a 2 hour drive on the third day of owning it I turned it off and left for about 30 minutes for a haircut. When I hopped back in and took off again there was hesitation when hitting the throttle there was about a half a second delay and it would hiccup while driving. When I finally got back on base I threw it in neutral at around 25mph and the rpms dropped to nothing and it would catch itself and pick them back up to 1k but it kept doing that and after throwing it in neutral a third time to test it it actually died on me. When I went to turn it back on it started no problem and idled just fine. When I have it gas and the rpms dropped they dropped to 400 then picked back up to 1k. I parked the car and after 40 minutes (car temp still hot) I turned it on and no problems at all I mean zero. Any ideas where I should look first? The car is doing just fine now but it'd be nice to know where to begin looking. Thanks in advance!

Could possibly be but I hadn't seen it before and after turning it off I haven't had any issues. I should also mention there's an exhaust leak midway to the back
A Vacuum leak is sucking extra air into engine. Its the propellant usually propane sprayed around the intake and hoses that does the trick.
If extra fuel is drawn into the engine, you will hear an increase in engine RPM. Vacuum leak found!!
Luck
So spray around the hoses and intake and if I hear the sudden rpm change that's where my leak is seems pretty straight forward does starting fluid work? And if it isn't a vacuum leak (fingers crossed it is) what would be next in line for me to check? I appreciate taking your time to reply btw
As others have said here it sounds like a vacuum leak for sure. This should hopefully be a quick and easy fix for your issues!
Hi David thanks for taking the time to reply! My car was actually tuned by you guys a while back which was a huge relief knowing you guys did the work! When I have time on the weekend I'll check to see! By the way incredible work on you guys' part the idle is so smooth for such an aggressive cam you guys rock! Also, what dyno do you guys use is it a lower reading dyno? Just curious. The car made 502whp and 447wtq
