Default Clutch Help Needed

So I went to install an oem clutch return spring today, because I bought my car years ago and found out that it was missing. I have been battling the Clutch B Circuit CEL from the pedal not returning to the full up position all the time. I thought the spring would fix that. After installing the spring, everything seemed fine. I jumped back up and went to test how the pedal feel was and the after pressing the pedal to the floor, it now sticks to the floor. I removed the spring and the clutch pedal has no hydraulics behind it. Is this a faulty master cylinder? Or is this a slave issue? I could not see any fluid under the car, that would indicate a leaking slave.

Most likely the master is the issue, they're failing inside the cylinder.

I bought a Tick master with a bleeder line and have not had an issue since.
Lots of people do the "ranger" method of flushing, but it doesn't solve the problem long term.

its insane to me how one thing that really has nothing to do with another will go bad like that, it infuriates me and blows my mind at the same time.
