Calipers
But they have nothing in common with the true larger size Z06 parts and the Aero6/FNSL4 caliper kits for 14" front and 13" rear rotors. They are not even on the same plane as the Z06 fronts mentioned in the image above which are huge by comparison.
If you have the base C6 car now you already have these rotors (without holes in them) on the car now. (Shameless plug: you can get the caliper kits without the drilled rotors for as little as $1119) What's missing here is MORE ROTOR. They won't fit ANY other size rotor and anyone here will tell you; aside from street creed you'll be looking for improvements from rotor size. I won't argue the pros and cons of drilled rotor, if you've been around the forums for any length of time you know it's been talked about for years. My only comment there: if you ever track the car; don't do it.
Like I said; nothing wrong with them. Sold a few to the street cruisers who want nice looking parts and the small benefits they offer. But they are not sold as any kind of performance product. It's a lateral move mostly. IF you plan to keep 17s its a great buy vs the full on 13" BBKs however- but for a slightly smaller set of rotors than they come with.
If you run 18s and truly want value buy:
1. The Z06 kits
2. The larger Caliper kits and some Z06 rotors spec rotors
3. A complete BBK for the C5/6
*Sure I'd love to have your business. Equally important however is that you make an informed choice and not one based on pretty pictures on eBay where the sellers really no nothing about what is being sold and the pros/cons of it. It's one of those things that can later turn a Wilwood buyer into a Wilwood bad-mouther. Not a problem with the parts, a problem with the application of the parts! Buy informed.
I'm coming from a car that had brembo calipers and hawk pads and stoptech rotors
My base brakes suck
I use the car for daily and go up and down mountain passes I do a few tt events and maybe one nasa event a year mostly mountain runs and drag racing so fitting a 17" rear is important but I run a 18" front
The basis of all the info is founded in math, data, experience and customer feedback. I can't tell anyone what to buy only guide people when it comes to the Wilwoood brand.
I've given heads up info to make a smart choice for your needs. Some are better than others like any purchase.
There are three things guiding brake purchases;
1. Wheel size- what fits
2. Intended use- what you want from it
3. Budget- what will you pay for it
Pick two. You can't hit the trifecta.
