Transmission Problems
I have a 2005 convertible base model corvette. It had a Vortech supercharger kit installed when I purchased it. This past week I had it in the shop to install a set of headers and went from a 4.5 pulley to a 3.8 pulley on the supercharger. Shortly after I got it back and after a few test runs I started having transmission issues. When I put the car in first gear it feels like the brakes are on and the car will not move unless you give it gas and it feels "jerky". I believe I probably blow something in the transmission but wanted to see if anyone had heard of anything like this before. The second question I have is that I'm looking at possibly going with a 3.92 gear when I replace the transmission. Is anyone running this setup with the A4 transmission? I know today the car runs at about 2K RPM's at 70 MPH on the highway, can anyone tell me what I might expect with the 3.92 setup? Thanks for anyone that can provide some feedback.
