Hood Release Issue
Hi All! I have an 07 Z06 and my driver side hood latch is giving me trouble. I pull the handle and the passenger side pops up and releases, the drivers side latch does not. I have to take a long screw driver and push the mechanism towards the firewall to get it to release off the hood latch. I've never messed with this type of system so not sure what I need to replace or adjust, any input would be appreciated!

Pop the mechanism out and inspect it. Its a simple cable pull system. I've found they bing up on the washer tank or stuff around it at times. Its 3 10mm bolts, and it comes right off. Super simple. Pull it out, inspect, and grease it, and reinstall.

Worst case find a junk yard one, or one from a recycler, or ask around here. I have a set in a box since I swapped to hood pins, but want to keep them just in case I do a stock style hood again.
You may just need to adjust it slightly, and hit it with a little white lithium spray grease.

Have a picture of your hood pins?
Worst case find a junk yard one, or one from a recycler, or ask around here. I have a set in a box since I swapped to hood pins, but want to keep them just in case I do a stock style hood again.
