My 2006 car has 96k on it and the trans has never been serviced.
100k is the time to change trans fluid AND filter as per the book.
I took it to my local dealer and they said they have never replaced the filter on a vette before and didn't even know how to get the pan off.
They said they only FLUSH the trans, and call it a day.
Do you all think FLUSHING would be appropriate for my car without changing the filter.???
That's the dumbest thing I've heard...they have complete (the most complete) manuals to tell them how to remove the pan. If they don't know how to do that, they shouldn't be allowed to touch the rest of the car.
I agree with all you guys, and I have checked at all the local dealers about doing this, and they all say the same thing " just flush"
But today I talked with my club president about using another club members lift, and he told me there were many members that had lifts at their homes, so I have decided to do the job myself and save a bunch of money at the same time.
Thank you all,
G.

You will need a 1/4" 10mm swivel socket (shorter the better) for the rear bolts. Back off the 4 nuts for that hold trans to cradle. Use a jack and 2x4 to jack up on the diff which will raise the trans enough to get to the rear bolts. Doing this without a lift is not even a problem.
