That engine needs to be completely disassembled and find out what is coming apart. Good luck on a warranty.

This exactly. Most shops will cover parts they sell to the customer - hard for them to stand behind something provided by the customer. If OP provided parts and the parts were installed correctly but there was just a failure (it happens) then it's normally on the OP for that.

Which is why if warranty/etc is important, you talk to shop up front about it, and purchase all parts/service through them. I've had this same thing happen to me before. Brand new motor came apart at 480 miles. It sucks but it is part of modding a car.

There is a reason packages with warranties charge 2x as much as those without. You are basically prepaying for a failure. If nothing fails shop makes a ton of money. If something does, you have already paid for redoing everything.

I think there is where you are wrong, the underlined portion above. I also think you will get nothing if you sue the shop based on the above. You gave them a critical part and said it already has a tune, please assemble the engine with new parts, but no tune, no cam. The job was done. It blew up. However, I wish you luck with whatever you do.
