1976 Corvette power window issue

I have a 1976 (early) Corvette. I installed a new passenger side window motor and now have this problem. When either the door gets closed to hard {slammed} or I install the lock **** the window will not go up or down. I have power to the motor. The only way I found to fix the problem is to remove the door panel, motor inspection plate and loosen the 3 bolts that hold the motor to regulator. retighten the bolts and window operates up and down. It is almost like the motor gets jammed and will not let the window work. Purchased motor from Ecklers. Thank You

you might be better posting this to the C3 Forums, you mentioned that this is a 1976 Corvette.

I actually realized that I posted it in the wrong forum and tried to delete the post but I could not figure how to delete it, so I did repost it in the C3 forum.
