Default Please help

helo
I have a question about my c6 corvette

I picked up my car after a thermostat 160 and catback exhaust changed

the car is acting weird
now my main concern is the shifter of the car is acting weird
when shifting from park to reverse to neutral is fine but when switching from drive to neutral is the movement is so light when your switching between them it's like when I dropp it to neutral the car is still in drive and you can just drive
what is the cause of this
any one can help me out
is this the transmission cable that is causing this or it requires to be tuned again
the car is auto 2006 full bolts on with heads and cam

I even noticed when i the shifter is in s which is the sport mod which makes you switch between gears from the steering wheel that there is a big delay when shifting and it is not responding sometimes
also the feel of the car is kinda different

Any help is appreciated

I also want to ask it anyone cut the radiator shroud or is it better to keep it sealed because I have a hole in it and am using a halltech cold air intake and I be been told that it should be sealed for now and am not sure if that would be the cause if the tune goin bad
Along with the new valves catback exhaust
and the 160 thermostat

the car stalls way more now

any help

When your cat back was changed they bumped the adjuster for the shifter cable where it connects to the transmission lever. The adjuster has a bunch of small teeth that needs to be re-seated properly and in the correct gear position. It's any easy fix.

You need to get the car on a lift or on jack stands and locate the shift cable lever on the transmission. It is located close to the driver side rear wheel, and it is kind of high up in there. While you are under the car and the engine not running have someone put the car into accessory mode and shift through the gears. You will see the transmission lever move to each gear selection. There is a small rectangular white or red piece of plastic with teeth that can be separated to adjust the length of the shifter cable. I think it's best to adjust it in the neutral position. You must match up the neutral at the transmission lever to the neutral inside the car. After that is done you can hand squeeze the rectangular teeth adjuster to lock in place. Your cat back exhaust will probably be in your way a little. I replaced my shifter cable with the exhaust removed. Google the shifter cable for your car and you should see pictures of it.

Thanx I ll check that out later on

Do you know if the radiator shroud should be a full one piece or is it better to have it cut
I posted a pic pf my car and I don't now it is stiched with some carton paper and it looks bad and it performs bad
So am wondering should I take off the stitching and have a hole behind the cold air intake or just get a new radiator shroud

I searched online but found no results about it when you install a halltech cold air intake

I also got the beheeve heat shield to install but I wana know if I should replace the radiator shroud before installing it
