3) Should I just move on up to a Walbro 450? But then I read that the factory regulator won't work properly with the 450..
Need help please!!
I had a bad fuel pump and upgraded to the Z06 fuel pump. It's plug and play. I am also boosted with a boost a pump, but even if I wasn't I would upgrade to the Z06 fuel pump.
picked up a bone stock 2005 c6. Needs fuel pump. I have a 450 walbro. Is this a simple plug n play and simple bucket mod? Or will I need larger injectors n tune? Any info is much appreciated
I didn't risk it. Went ahead and installed a Racetronix C6Z module, along with the upgraded short wiring harness. It was all plug and play with no modifications necessary.

Sounds like a great upgrade!
Where did you pick yours up?
Any idea how much power it will support?

I ordered mine straight from Racetronix. It worked just fine for the radical heads/cam setup I had, should support 600rwhp if you have enough injector as a lot of the Z06 guys make that.
I am boosted now, left it in and added the ECS Stage 1..
Since both the LS2 and the LS7 fuel systems operate at 58 PSI head pressure, the pressure being supplied to the injectors is a non-issue ... No increase in actual pressure from one pump to the other.
I believe the only real difference between the LS2 and LS7 fuel pump is the max flow rating.
Back in 2010 or so I ordered a new GM fuel pump for my 2006 C6 Coupe (LS2). I received a Z06 pump. It believe it even had a sticker that read "Z06/XLR" on it.
I was told by the vendor (a GM dealer) that the original pump was either on backorder or was no longer available, and the Z06 pump was a standard replacement.
Physically, the two pump assemblies appear identical. It works fine.
The only noticeable difference was that the new pump was a little noisier.
I think the difference between the LS2 and LS7 pump is the LS7 pump flows about 10% more and takes another amp or two in current (say 10 vs 11 amps). Racetronix use to have a little flow chart on their site that showed the difference. Also the early cars had a 0 to 240 ohm gas gauge whereas the 2007 and later are 240-0 gas gauges.
