So I have a 2012 corvette chassis that I am building for a hotrod. I have the front cradle with two engine mounting points.
Does anyone know what the differences are?
One sets the engine back more, but probably uses different stands?
Here is what I'm looking at:
I have an LSA crate engine I'm installing into the hotrod and want to use the cradle mounts if possible. Looks like the engine can set back and over to the passenger side about 1 1/2". This would clear the harmonic balancer to the steering rack of the LSA. I'll just get it in there and check it out. Thought maybe it was for a specific reason.
Here is the pic of the rear cradle. Looks like a couple options?
Yep not in my '11 GS didn't have choice I'm using a ZR1 diff and had to slot the diff mounts holes rearward in the cradle in order to install the ZR diff mounts which sit back about 10mm or perhaps I was already on the rears and needed to go back further.
Any plans for a diff cooler and what body are you using your '62? btw love that C7/C3 hood.
Only thing I don't like about JJ awesome C3 resto-mod is front transmission, I have a reasonable suspicion you are doing the rite thing .
Thanks,
For this project it is a 1958 Chevy Apache Pickup. The torque tube will need extended about 4"-8" depending on where I mount the engine.
Great company doing the torque tube right is Gamel Street Rods: https://www.gamelstreetrods.com/torq...e-modification
