Default Pushrod help

I have a ls3 427 with prc 2.5 heads. As far as I know nothing has been decked or cut.

I had a freak problem with one of my lifters where the pin backed out of the ball. Now that the nightmare of getting it out is over we went ahead and ordered a set of Johnson 2110 lifters. AS i was told I needed different push rods due to the pre load of these lifters. I never measured a push rod so this is all new to me so please bare with with me.

I have the comp cams push rod checker. I get zero lash with 10 and 1/4 turns.

6.800+ .525 = 7.325

I was told to run .025-.050 preload on them

The questions I have are:

1) does this sound right being the push rod is so close to the stock length.

2) Is the math correct?

3) If all seems right which push rod should I go with a 7.350 or 7.375

Thanks for anyone that can shed some light on this Ive been at it for a couple of days and its driving me nuts lol.

I run mine with .045" and have manton pushrods with multiple lengths.

Don't worry about the length difference. If that's your measurements, and your on the base circle of the camshaft order 7.375".

I like to run mine with a little more preload, Randy told me .060" would not hurt anything.

Report back with your final results after it's buttoned back up. Curious as to your results.
