Default Kooks

Kooks headers. I have an 08 and I found the catted x pipe that goes for $800 new for $350 new so I had to buy it. It's the zo6 x pipe. Will it fit the Kooks Ls3 headers that I have? I need the Z06 pipe for the Z06 NPP set up.

I can't answer the question specifically, but since you already bought the Z06 X-Pipe I thought this pic would help out of the Ls2/3 Kooks setup.

BTW, Z06 is known as Bi-Mode and has 3" over axle pipe. NPP is 2 1/2" over axle. I have NPP on mine.

Pretty sure it will fit your headers, but the 3-inch Outlet will not sit your muffler system. I would call Kooks to know for certain.

After a while I found a kooks page that lists there header part numbers that fit there many x-pipes. looks like I'm in luck with the 3in and 3 out listed for z06 working with the headers I bought (non z06). No stress now and saved 4 to 5 hundred bucks. So I can put my Z06 bi mode mufflers right on.
Thanks for the info guys!

I agree. If the x-pipe ends don't match up right at least there all 3in. I'm pretty sure I might have to do some cutting and coupling and might have to drag out the 5lb micro adjuster.

Lest set the terms correctly first off
headers
Catted X-pipe
Y pipe
That's the system in question correct?
If you bought the Catted X pipe it will have 3" ends then the Y pipe will have corresponding 3" and then the end section of the Y pipe will have either 3" or 2.5" ends that match up to either Z06 over the axle or regular at 2.5", does that make sense?
Heres my system laid out with 3"x2.5" Y pipe so that I could keep my NPP
Hope that helps
