Default C6 Automatic(6L80E) diff/tranny brace

Is there a brace/strut kit for the later c6 with auto(6l80e)?
Working on stiffening up everything.
Thanks for any direction.

Not that I've seen.

Suggest contact subfloor. Check his posts in here for possible custom made part:

ECS also offered them at one point, I believe, and had indicated they were going to do some more months ago. I would gladly buy one if they made it.

Chris (subfloor) had some made at one point. I have one of those but have never seen anyone else offering them.

Revisiting this thread in hopes that someone will hear the plea of those of us A6 guys who are looking for a brace.
ECS did say on another thread that they were going to do a run of them and then later told me via email that they were too busy at the time to make them. I had the impression that they had done some before?
I've been looking at the various pictures of the A6 brace Subfloor made and comparing that to the ECS M6 brace and it seems that all that would be needed would be the top bracket for the trans bellhousing, and everything else is the same, except that the two lower tensioner rods aren't used on the A6? Do I have that wrong? Surely, it can't take that much for someone to make that top bracket and delete the lower bracketry and rods to convert their M6 kit to an A6 kit? I guess now that everyone is C7 crazy, we'll get left behind and will have to resort to making our own parts?

That's what it consists of... probably not that difficult to make or adapt one to fit.

User The_Nigel was making one for his car, he's a good fabricator with the skills to get it done.

Not sure but you could PM him and ask if he would make you one.

I just spoke to RPM and they are building me a ZR1 diff. They are doing a 6l80e/diff brace for $425(custom order). I think this solves many issues of where to get them...

Just received the ZR1 stage 4 and A6 brace. The rest of the brace set is not pictured, but everything looks good! Beefy compared to the base diff.

It’s good to see that RPM can make these things for us A6 guys. Please post up pictures of the install if you don’t mind. I see one of these in my future.

I don't think they keep them in stock, but they make them as ordered.
I will get those pics up after I get the tranny back.

If you're referring to the brace, logically you laser cut as many pieces as possible out of the blank of plate you put on the bed. You recover most of the extra cost on the first product and the others become almost free. Seeing the size and shape, I'd guess they cut them in batches of 10-15.

It's just an opinion based on first hand experience.

Makes sense. The whole kit was $425. Not too bad.
