Default C6 performance mods

I bought a 2007 corvette 6.0 ls2 with 48k miles about 6 months ago. Everything is stock besides a Corsa axle back exhaust. I'm looking for a little more. Nothing crazy, I want to stick to bolt-ons. Just Headers, Cold air, off road x-pipe and a good tune. Any suggestions on what brands that will give me the best value without spending crazy money?

What State do you live in? What exactly are you looking for in increased performance? Be patient for a couple days to give everyone who can offer help a chance to come by and comment. Good luck.

Save your money on the CAI unless you are into $400-$500 eye candy with a minimal performance gain. If that's what you want be my guest.

I'm stationed in South Carolina but I'll be at my hometown in Florida in 2 years. It's going to be my weekend car so I just want it to be fast off the line. It's going to be driving the streets. Not really any plans to make it into something different than that. Just some bolt ons for now but I will end up throwing a bigger cam in it down the road. Just trying to do a couple things at a time.

If he had an LS3 or LS7 sure, but an LS2 does see decent gains from an intake, especially if accompanied with a tune. The OEM intake is terrible.

05 automatic LS2 here. I did a Vararam and it did next to nothing. What did work was adding a Z06 3" exhaust & tune. The car put down 356 rwhp on one of those stingy dyno's you bolt to the rear tires. Definite seat of the pants improvement.

Other than that, consider a small shot of Nitrous.

The tune is what brings it all together. An intake will add a little, a full header back exhaust will add more, but with a tune thrown in they add a lot.

did you get a tune after the CAI? Pretty sure if you had it tuned for the cai and 91/93 octane you would see a gain.

What tune would you recommend for just a full header back exhaust and a CAI? I have some 305s for the rear and 265s for the front coming in too. I heard Diablosport is a good one. I have the Intune but its for a 2013 ram 1500 that I had prior to the corvette. Don't think it would work for GM vehicles.

Wow way cheaper than the ones I've been looking at. Thank you! Very helpful.

Just cut open the radiator plastic shroud for a quick 20hp.....

Zero $$$ and best bang for the buck... replace it later when you go to sell...

VARARAM will not show improvement on a dyno , but on the track you will see a difference....

For just a "CAI and headers a Diablo Custom Tune from Diablow Lew is fine ... quick easy and the equivalent of a good street tune depending on how many times you "Log the car
if you have an auto the TCM tune is great
