Can't remember how to do the "indexing" (pretty sure it's in the forum) ... I'm lazy enough to disconnect/reconnect the battery and see if that does it.
I took my C6 2006 to the shop for repairs picked it up parked a week later tried to let the top down and it says “TOP NOT SECURE” please advise!!!
Raise the top so rear section with window is vertical. Place a bungee cord or something like it from the front bow to the rear to hold in place. If you don't in about 4-minutes the hydraulic pressure releases and the top unfolds.
Go to the back of the passenger side of the rear section of the top. Look under the curtain or top fabric on the lower part of the top frame--see picture. This is the top position switch. The plastic toggle must be engaged on the frame pin--mine had popped off and thus the message. I replaced the toggle and the message went away...good luck and let me know if this was the cause.
