Default headlight nuts?

MY 13 GS was in the body shop about a year ago to replace the drivers side fender that was damaged in a parking lot incident (somebody hit me while the car was parked). While washing it a couple weeks ago I noticed the headlight assembly was very loose. I discovered that the 3 nuts holding the headlight assembly to the substructure were MISSING!
I ordered 3 new nuts from the local dealer and just picked them up. The captured washer appears to be TOO SMALL and if I try to use them they will likely go right through each of the 3 large holes in the substructure, so they wont secure the headlight. I looked at the blow up of the parts schematic before I left the dealer and they did order the correct part #. The part they gave me is 1158-8331. These nuts happen to be the same size as the other nuts I removed that hold the bumper cover to the fender, right in front of the front wheel. is this the correct part number? I know the headlight nuts and the fender nuts have a different diameter captured washer, the headlight one being larger. How do I get the right part? I would think getting parts for a 4 year old car wouldn't be this difficult! damn you GM!

Suggest you contact RLSebring. He's the C6 headlight guru here and can likely hook you up with whatever you need.

Or simply add a larger washer between the nut and the bracket. Wouldn't hurt anything and still gets the job done.

I lost one of those a few months ago during a project and just replaced it with an m6 nut and a large washer.
