Fastest manual trans corvette?!?! 8.48!
What do you guys think about Garret aka Cleetus McFarland taking the record for fastest Manual trans corvette?

Some people think he shouldn't get the record because he has no body panels, and say it's not a real corvette. My thoughts are:
1. It's VIN is a 2001 Corvette
2. Missing body panels also means losing aero dynamics
3. It has a complete exo-skeleton cage around it=heavy
So I think the record is well deserved.
What do you guys think?

I have been following his build, very entertaining.
I agree totally, LeRoy is a c5 Corvette. Hate to say it, but success brings out haters. Do well, somebody somewhere will have something negative to say about it.

Very well deserved the only thing people can knock him on is the lack of panels but he’s also got a very heavy cage and none of the aerodynamics.. people will praise a Corvette with a Hemi engine over an LS powered Corvette that’s missing body panels but has a heavy cage and no aerodynamics.. pathetic haters.
