So, I have the fabled, "Service Fuel System" and the fuel gauge at drop E. I am currently trying the, "Better gas, and a bottle of Techron." I have been running 91 octane for the last few months. But, more importantly, not the best quality fuel. Found a BP station near me, and filled up, adding my 1st bottle of Techron. This BP station is a Ma-n-Pa food shop, that also has two pumps (one of course offering 93 octane). This is most likely a silly question, but a BP station, no matter how small, gets the same 93 fuel that the larger store, right? I just wonder if all stations have the same commitment to keep the fuel clean for the customers....
I don't think I'd worry about the mom & pop and clean fuel.
Clean meaning 89 or 93 is pumped into the tank as indicated,...yes
Clean as in no rust or debris in the underground storage tanks...yes.
Just use the top tier and add the Techron ever so often to help avoid build up on the funnel tanks internal senor and pump $1000 repair.
I use 93 Octane Top Tier fuel in my GS and the wife's 15 Camaro 2SS RS. I also add a bottle of Techron about every forth or fifth tank full. When we travel 93 is not available at all stations but 91 is as low as I will go. Another tip is to not run your gas much below half tank and parking the car. The sending unit is in the right tank and gets exposed to air (corrosion) once you go below that point. I never park the car with less than 3/4's of a tank.

The problem with the Mom-Pop places is that they have the old tanks which have water in them at times.
... what the rest said, 93 octane. The factory makes that recommendation for a reason.
. I am using 93 octane, as stated in my original post. The question was if all stations get the same gas. Anyway...I'm sure it will take a tank or two with the Techron before I see any results. Thanks....

no... you’re first post said you’ve been using 91 of a lessor quality for the past few months. Get on 93 and your problems will go away, as will the crappy gas from mom and pops decades old underground leaking tanks.
