You have to take the trans off and it disassembles from the rear and pulls out.

Remove the huge SOB snap ring on the other end, then the drive shaft will slide out with the couplers/bearings/etc.

I went with ZR1 parts. But that calls for a custom driveshaft. When it comes to drivetrain I go with what Jeremy at RPM suggests.

can't go wrong there, I won't have the RWHP that you will but I have a ZO6 drive shaft, poly couplers and SKF bearings, when I pull every thing for the new LS7 clutch. your taking a short vacation up here when I decide to do it...... right?

I put in a DSS 3" driveshaft with one solid and one DSS poly... so far so good...

I did the same but with one solid and one hard rubber with good results.

I had the same...solid rear but OEM front. The new OEM front recently took a dump, so I'm now installing the DSS poly in the front.

I was considering doing the same but was warned that the poly longevity was actually worse than OEM.

I has originally thought of upgrading to a ZR1 prop shaft and thicker couplers, but that requires a different torque tube for my (2006).
My only other option is a DSS couplerless driveshaft. I had hoped that a solid rear with an OEM front would be sufficiently strong to handle my 600 RWHP during drag race launches, while also eliminating the issues of NVH that some have reported when using solid or poly couplers.

This has honestly been a good informative thread for me. But this is the funniest post I've read in a while.
