Default C6 lifter tick, 48,000 mile car

2005 LS2 sounds like lifter tick rt side. Has anyone just installed new lifters & push rods without cam with success, don't want to remove engine.

Get to the bottom of the tick, before you decide what needs to be done.

If the roller on the lifter is what is going out, then you can suspect that is did some cam lob damage as well.

Hell, may luck out, and find that is just a rocker arm roller pin bearings that are starting to get loose (have not lost one of roller pins yet) and just the rocker arm needs to be replace.

If you did loose the pin bearings, then it time to pull the motor down to find the needle bearings.

This is actually a common issue on these LS motors. Do a search and many have reported it. My 05 has been doing it since I got it....12 years ago.
