Default Help with used C6

I'm looking at a used 2013 C6 M6 narrow body coupe. The price is right, but I have a concern. I've had two C6's previously. Both supercharged and either side of 650rwhp. This one is doing something I don't remember the other two doing.

When accelerating hard, it pulls to the right immediately after getting out of the throttle. Don't remember either one of the others doing that. Before or after adding 250 hp.

It also has a really goofy tire setup. 285/45 18's in the rear and 245/45 18's on the front. Stock is 285/35 19's rear and 245/40 18 fronts. The fronts are within a couple of 10ths of being as tall as the rears. Rears are supposed to be 1.2" taller than the fronts. Don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Your thoughts appreciated.

Could be an alignment issue,

or could be that the suspension needs to be tightened back up isntead; hence shocks going south with loss of charge if higher mileage, or even the bushing from being over worked in such a short time period.

With the car set up 18" sqaured, does sound like someone set the car up for road course work, and that will wear out a suspension parts is short order not time at all.

It has 50K miles on it. It drove beautifully at cruise. No pulling in either direction. It was never raced per salesman. Totally stock motor and exhaust as far as I could see. If I buy it, it will have Z06 shocks and Z51 sways in short order.

You mean DRM shocks, Z51 sways, and Fe3 front leaf spring.
Also while you are under the car, check out all the rubber bushing for wear, and replace any that look like they are about to fall apart.

As for never raced by the salesman, finding that hard to believe with a 18" square set up.

Truth is, I would go through that car with a fine tooth comb before buying it (up on a lift as well), looking for any mod parts that where added, then removed with the stock parts put back on before it was traded in. Hence wear to bolt and nuts that should have no marring in the first place, since the factory does a good job on not marring the bolts and nuts when they building the car to begin with.

As for nuts and bolt that looked to be marred from being wrenched on after it left the factory, then such work should show up in a GM service history report as repairs that a dealer did to the car instead.

Hell I would take it one step further, and if the dealer is telling you that the car is all stock, have him pull the ECM tune and confirm that it's the original factory tune as well. Hence if you are going to get an extended warranty on the car, if the factory tune has been changed, then it just voided the extended warranty.

I don't see how the previous owner could have raced it with that tire size mismatch. At some point, traction control is going to come on with the rears being only a couple of tenths taller than the fronts. Been there, had it done to me with tires not nearly so mismatched. I guess he could have turned all the nannies off...

The Carfax is clean with only routine maintenance by Chevy dealers and one independent shop that did inspections and maintenance.

It will go on a lift so I can inspect the underside this morning. Good idea on the tune check. Hadn't considered that because I'll more than likely add CAI, LT headers, and a mild cam. Sure won't hurt to have it checked though. Vette felt strong, but I haven't driven a stock C6 in years...so nothing for me to compare it to.
