Default 2.56 vs 273 gears

I noticed that going from a 27" stock tire with the 2.56 gears to a 25.5" tire equals a 2.73 rear ratio same as the z51 performance gear. I just happen to have a pair of 315/35/17 nto5r's on 17x11 TT2's for my trans am.
Anybody think they will fit?
I'm getting a 1.85 60 ft. What should the improvement be? Any guesses?

C6 car has an A6.

Smaller tire heck yeah!!! it will you have very tall gear ratio so will notice improvement you will appreciate, not sure about the 315 mm in a base car but the shorter tires will allow for spacer if needed bolt pattern is the same.

Lift up the car put em on and try em that's how I ended up using my '06 gto drag pack on my GS.

A 1.85 on a stock converter is the best I ever did with DR's, so doing it with stock/street tires is kicking butt. Going from stock size street tires to a 275/40/17 DR didn't change the 60' much (maybe .01), but sure improved the consistency.
If that tire/wheel fits, then use it.

Been 1.62 60ft on stock converter. Drag radials and 3.42 gear. So the smaller tire (higher gear) should help that a bit.

Oh. There new sticky r888R's Spotted them on ebay. I have never seen a proxy 285/35/19 till a couple of months ago so I grabbed them cuz my Invos lost all there traction. These tires are amazing at the dragstrip and the road.0 slip wide open on tight corners and the track even launching from 1500 rpm stock stall with 33lbs in the rear and 43 up front got me a 1.848,7.664@94.65mph with bolt ons. No tune yet just set quicker harder shifts on performance. No need for t/c till these things wear out. I also destroyed a 2017 SS Camaro. My best day 1/8th mile with the 08 vette vert.
