Default Tapping Sound

Went to the drag strip this weekend and gave the C6 a couple of runs. Right before I got ready to leave I ran a hot lap. During the last 100ft something went wrong. I felt a change in the engine so I looked over the car after the run to make sure I didn't blow my engine. There were no oil or coolant leaks that I noticed. After cranking the engine this morning I herd a ticking sound. So I don't know if it was a rod or lifter. When connected to my hp tuner it doesn't pickup or show any engine knock.
After watching Youtube it maybe lifter lash. If anyone has had any similar issues please provide your feedback in the post. I'm hopping it's the lifter not the rods in the crank.

If you felt a change in the engine, that suggests strongly to me that you are losing a lifter. I recently had a lifter start tapping pretty loudly. . and I felt a change in the engine.........a lifter wiped out my cam.

I will have to be honest a lifter sounds a lot better than a piston. I thought that also I just forgot to put in the post. Either way I will pull that head this weekend to see what is going on. Lifter''s are pretty cheap new on ebay vs replacing rods on the bottom end.
