Default LS3 Breather can help

Doing research on breather cans and was wondering if they have kits for the c6 still? I saw some people were using a cartek kit but I can't find it on their site.
Also was wondering if anyone have install instructions with pictures? Feel kinda dumb for asking but I just dont want to screw it up.

I thought they were essentially the same thing. But venting and drawing fresh air into system.

Will have to leave answer for more learned poster. ........LOL

You don't do breather cans on a N/A LS3, since you will lose the vacuum in the motor needed to draw out the water vapors, and the oil is going to get filthy real quick with a breather in play.

So instead, you use a catch can with the vacuum in play, which traps the oil from the water vapor into the can and instead of the oil making it back to the intake manifold instead.

Oh I didn't know that part. My car kind of scares me with how much oil it consumes, which is why i wanted the breather. 3 months after the oil change, the dipstick will be near or at the bottom bubble.
I hear the catch can just stops it from going to the intake but the breather does that and doesnt let it lose oil.

Unless you average 4-5K miles monthly, you might have other problems. I normally change oil in the 10-12K mile range with a high of 16K and never have been down quite a full quart between changes. I've never used a catch can either.

Yike. I wouldn't have the ***** to go that far without an oil change or topping it off. I go nowhere close to 4-5k miles a month. Maybe 10k per year.
How many quarts does each bubble represent?

You said "3 months after the oil change, the dipstick will be near or at the bottom bubble."

At 10K miles a year and you use one quart (top hole to bottom hole) in 3 months, is 2,500 miles per quart.

That's an indication you have much bigger problems than a catch can could fix. Start looking elsewhere.

You're probably right. Well. Been over 3 months since I got an oil changed and checked my oil when filling up on gas. Drove it 2.5k miles. It seems to be right between the full bubble and middle one. I'm a bit thrown off but I do know I drove very conservatively the last 3 months.
I am going to start looking into it still. I see no oil marks around the block or in my driveway. Not entitely sure where to look.
