Default HVAC issue

Was driving my C6 427 today and needed to run the heat. The driver side heated up fine but the passenger side blew cold air. I tried adjusting the ***** and settings but no luck. Does any one know what part(s) will need to be replaced. Before I take it to the stealer for diagnosis, thought I would check here first.

Hopefully the dealer will be able to diagnose based on OBD codes found.

It is likely to involve the mode door actuator(s) or the door(s) themselves. An actuator isn't a big deal but anything beyond that means the dash has to be removed. In past years, I haven't seen any recent reports here, the typical cost has been north of $1500 for that worst case scenario.

Please let us know what happens and good luck for a minor repair.

I would try disconnecting the battery for 30 seconds and then reconnecting. Anytime my HVAC starts acting up this fixes it (2013 Grand Sport). **Don't forget to re-index your windows after reconnecting the battery.

Sometimes I have to cycle mine through the different vents, i.e. defrost, lower vents, upper vents, etc. before it switches over to the temp at which I have it set.

Just an FYI once the weather warmed up the issue seemed to sort itself out 🙂. These cars don’t like cold weather.
