Convertable won't close

I have an 09 Convertible, and when we picked it up a week ago the convertible worked fine the one time I opened and closed it.

A few days ago I had put the top down to look at the seals, and the top wouldn't go back up "closed" under power it gets to the position in the picture below and stops.

If I wait roughly 5 min with everything off, the top suddenly lets loose, and I can manually close the roof the rest of the way and lock it down.

I have a theory that its the switch in the waterfall (the hard cover the closes) is not registering its actually closed.

I was wondering if anyone has had something like this happen, and what the fix was for it.

Is the lock down latch on the front open or closed ?

Bumping, someone out there has to have had something like this happen before, or have an idea how to fix it.

I've got problems with mine but I haven't had a chance to diagnose an exact problem. Dealer says it's the pump. I'm not convinced.

Have you had the battery disconnected recently? Try reindexing the windows. If they are not indexed the top won't go up.

Windows index fine (one of the first things I checked) but thanks for that, as it wasn't too terribly easy to find that info out either.

Ya I don't think its my pump either, as it moves up and down just fine, just gets to that point and stops.
