ARH header question, base vs z06

ARH header question, base vs z06
I've noticed a couple sets of ARH headers for sale that are for a z06 but without the x pipe.
I'm trying to figure out if the x pipe for the base model will work with the z06 headers. If they do, then I can keep the stock NPP I already have and don't have to jack with removing it, selling it, and finding a replacement. And I read the z06 axle back necks down to a 2.5 at the muffler anyways.
Now I would think since the cars have the same body and physical engine size, and yes I understand the ports are slightly higher, that the headers would have the same connection points. But the person I talked to on the phone at ARH said they are slightly different.
The X pipes are only 3" to 2.5" for the base headers, and 3" to 3" for the z06 headers. If anyone has any experience with this, and can give me an answer, I'd appreciate it. Also if anyone has an ARH x pipe, or can point me in the direction of someone that carries them. The person I talked to said it would take them 7-15 days to make another for sale. Thanks.
