DIY License Plate Harness / Trunk Trigger Replacement
Ok so my post is extremely deceiving - and I apologize -- because you were probably thinking I'm going to post how to do this, but in fact what I need is someone who has done this on a C6.
Here are the symptoms:
1. Trunk Trigger does not work.
2. License Plate Lights do not receive power (I think my multimeter would have picked this up through the socket?)
3. So far the only way I've learned how to do in is from the two small holes where the lights stick out.
Things that actually work in the rear:
1. Brake lights (like a champ).
2. Bottom 2 reverse lights (white lamps).
What I need (and hopefully someone out there can post useful pictures / information for others)....
Right now, my vette hasn't had a new inspection sticker in 2 years because I had a cracked windshield, no license plate lights and the transmission and catalytic converter had to be replaced. So if someone can help me get through this last step, I can get a sticker on my car and drive it again. --- PS: I start the car and give it a good revving for a few minutes every few days to keep it alive. Still sounds like it's ready to rock.
