Default Curb Alert Adjustment Help

I purchased a Curb Alert from another member and had it installed at my regular mechanic but it goes off for no apparent reason while driving. He adjusted the sensitivity but it stills goes off every few minutes while driving. I took my 07 Vette to a specialized speed shop hoping he can adjust it properly but no luck. I've seen the online videos and instructions on how to adjust it but I can't seem to get it to work right. Are there any members in the SF Bay Area that are familiar with the Curb Alert issues?

No issues with my curb alert. Odds are you set it too sensitive or have it alert on something too far/too small.

When calibrating, I place a large box roughly 15 inches from the sensor. Many videos out there calibrate it at 20 inches which I believe too far. At that distance, any time your car’s nose dips (rough road, unleveled street, hard braking, etc) it will go off. It will also go off any time you go over a white line (like the lines on the road for stop or crosswalk). I then use the 4 inch side of the curb alert box to set the height. I use the 4 inch side because the box will slide under the front lip of my GS (just barely) so I know a curb shorter than 4 inches won’t cause any issues.

With my current calibration, it will only alert me when an object is around 15 inches in front of the sensor and at least 4 inches tall. It does set off the alert when I pull out of my driveway and annoyingly tall speed bumps, but that’s OK.

I am in California but not close enough to physically help you.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try this again with your suggestion. The constant alerts during normal driving can be really annoying.
