Default Really Positive Experience

Okay, it's true that I have owned my 2007 C6 Base 3LT A6 for only two weeks, but it has been a fantastic experience so far. There are comments elsewhere on how evil GM is in so many ways, but very few posts regarding the millions of miles that Corvette owners have driven in what is a very durable and reliable type of automobile.
The folks at Brandon Dodge in Littleton, CO were very nice to work with. The used Corvette they had was cleaned up, inspected and in better condition than advertised. My friends and neighbors believe it is BRAND NEW. The excellent McCaddon Cadillac-Buick-GMC where I have my Silverado serviced are ready to add my Corvette to their customer list. I have always had a very good relationship with them, and they will probably treat my Corvette in a manner better than my plain old pickup truck. You folks here are a tremendous resource for Corvette owners all across the country.
And ... I am extremely fortunate to live in basically the same City as a very well respected, and accomplished, member of the CorvetteForum.com, Dano523. Today I received a Crash Course in basic Corvette maintenance, particularly Brakes and Electrical System. Further, he has pointed me toward a Corvette shop in Denver that is one of the best for doing work like the Harmonic Balancer replacement ... which my car needs.
But this Corvette Looks Great, Drives Fantastic, has NO DTC Error Codes, and only required Brake System, very minor Electrical System and soon Balancer work. Tires are great, Brake rotors were replaced at some point with Z51's and there are just no other problems. A VERY POSITIVE experience and a Great Car! At 11 years old with 53,000 miles, I am so pleased with it and love driving it. And Looking at it. And I wish all others best of luck with their CORVETTES!

So you purchased a Chevy at a Dodge dealership and within 2 weeks it needs brakes, a harmonic balancer and a battery? Nice car though and congrats.

Find a Chevrolet dealer that has a designated Corvette mechanic instead of a Buick gmc Cadillac dealer. You need an experienced mechanic

No, it didn't need brakes. For street driving the brakes were just fine, nearly new OEM pads and Z51 Rotors. My intention is to engage in HPDE, and we have started to set it up for that. This qualifies as a Mod, not a COMPLAINT. Many C6's need the HB replaced, it is inevitable. This might be considered a COMPLAINT, but I happen to prefer Chevy's to all other brands. The battery had no install date, but had no problems. I mean to keep it that way. Got any more COMPLAINTS or expressions of DISRESPECT?

It is a USED Car. It just so happened that a Dodge dealer acquired it from an auction where many dealers were involved. I can't fault any Chevy dealer for not acquiring it, and Brandon Dodge was just as good as any other to keep, and to care for, MY CORVETTE until I showed up to take it home.

The 35-year Veteran Mechanic who inspected my C6 at McCaddon is a Corvette owner. McCaddon is the BEST Chevy Service Center in this part of Denver Metro. (I know; I've tried Hayek/now King, and Century, etc.) McCaddon is rated among the Top Ten Percent out of 41,000+ Dealers in the U.S. and Canada. Do you really think that a Dealer that is able to Service and Maintain High Performance, 500+HP Cadillacs will be unable to handle a Corvette? I will have the HB replaced and Engine/Transmission/Body Control Tuning done by Clint at American Intense Racing, Denver. There is NO ONE BETTER in this part of the world. This is the Corvette shop which, as I said, Dano523 has told me to go to.

I can understand members here having doubts about a dude only two weeks into owning his first Corvette. However, I DID say that I am being mentored by Dano523. Thanks for your comments and concern. It's nice to feel Welcome.

Don't mind the odd nut. This forum is full of good peeps who can help you out with pretty much anything that you can come up with. She's a pretty car and these things are just awesome in the genuine and honest way that makes you proud it came from the place we call home. We may not always get it right but when we do we kick the f$5^ out of everything. Congrats and best wishes.
