Default z06 LS7 pushrod length

Can anyone confirm the actual pushrod lenght? I read it's 7.750" for stock pushrods. However, when reading what the replacement pushrod length is. I see it as 7.8".

I understand that measuring pushrods is not tip to tip. Would anyone be able to confirm, if one is replacing the stock 7.750" pushrods with aftermarket. What would yield the same preload? The question may not be as simple, but I figure why not give it a try, incase someone else has stumbled upon this. I understand that you should always measure before installing.

IIRC...7.8 stock = 7.8 aftermarket as far as preload goes. However, dont try to measure them as they will be different since oem are a different design tip vs aftermarket.

From everything I have ever read, the spec sheet lists a 7.750" pushrod for the LS7 engine.

This is exactly what I mean. I hear 7.8 and 7.750, with vendors even advertising stock length as 7.8.

I haven't tested it before putting the engine together. Whatever stock was, the preload was right where I wanted.

Gauge length? Effective length? Total length? What measurement are you even talking about? Going to be 3 different answers.

Which is why you measure, then tell the place you are ordering from how you measured.
